Bio Adapt Mode

Bio Adapt Mode allows the spectral composition of light to be adjusted in order to reduce the impact of artificial lighting on surrounding ecosystems. The system can selectively reduce or completely remove short-wavelength (blue) light, which has been associated with changes in the behaviour and orientation of many nocturnal insect species and other wildlife.

The technology expands the possibilities for responsible outdoor lighting design. In addition to controlling light levels, it enables designers to work with the spectral composition of light itself, allowing lighting schemes to be better adapted to the specific requirements of a given location. Combined with an appropriate colour temperature and precise optical control, Bio Adapt Mode helps minimise unwanted environmental impacts while maintaining the required visual comfort and safety.
