A ‘Heads Up’ with … Ashley Popple
Inspired while self-isolating
With Covid-19 lockdowns worldwide and health authorities urging people to self-isolate and practice social distancing on a massive scale as part of an enormous effort to #FlattenTheCurve of this global pandemic … we are reaching out to industry friends, colleagues, associates, partners, etc., and asking them to share their #StayAtHome and #QuarantineAndChill activities with us during this extraordinary time.
Robe: What do you do normally?
Ashley: I am the business development manager for Anolis for London and the South East managing Anolis projects in this area.
Robe: Where are you right now?
Ashley: At home in my office … thinking about getting in the hot tub!
Robe: What are you doing to fill the time whilst isolating?
Ashley: Spending time with my family, gardening and trying to do all those DIY jobs that never normally get done.
Robe: What’s the most creative thing you’re able to do in isolation?
Ashley: I have taken up Yoga.
Robe: Are you looking after anyone else during the crisis?
Ashley: Yes, my wife and three children.
Robe: Has anyone inspired you since this started?
Ashley: The community spirit has amazed me; everyone seems to be looking out for each other.
Robe: Favourite book / movie / Netflix series / viral video
Ashley: Best TV series so far, probably “Back to Life” (British comedy-drama starring Daisy Haggard about a woman rebuilding her life after an 18-year prison sentence) on BBC iPlayer … and I’m starting Westworld on Sky Atlantic – a series set in a futuristic Western-themed amusement park, a contemporary take on the classic 1973 thriller movie written and directed by Michael Crichton.
Robe: What’s the first thing you’d like to do when we are through this?
Ashley: Hug people, and hopefully not too many randoms!
Robe: Own question / answer / message of solidarity or something you’d want to say?
Ashley: Hang in there, stay well and look after each other. See you on the other side!
