The administration centre of Logan City, Queensland, Australia approached Anolis to produce and install a new lighting design for their building within a limited budget and Anolis was more than happy to take up the challenge.

Project Details

As lighting energy consumption is a key initiative of the Council's overall environmental program, the new lighting scheme had to be considerably more efficient than the previous design and so naturally Anolis rose to the top through a list of other competitors.

To light the front facade of the building Anolis specified the powerful ArcSource™ 96 Integral fixtures which give a great throw of light across the front of building, with ArcPad™ 48 Integrals units placed on the sides for extra control.

The system is fully controllable with an app that runs on Apple devices such as the iPhone and iPad and normally is lit with a pure white light but with the capability for RGBW colour mixing on special occasions and public holidays, as the council is eager to be supportive of local initiatives.

The fixtures needed to be both powerful and highly efficient as the building is lit 365 days a year from dawn to dusk. The ArcSource™ 96 Integral produces almost 9,000 lumens whilst typically consuming 200W of electricity, whilst the ArcPad™ 48 Integral has an output of over 3,000 lumens and typically consumes only 60W so a huge improvement on the previous energy consumption.

As with all Anolis RGBW fixtures, the units light output and colour mixing are highly customisable, allowing the Council to produce any display of colour they choose and they were extremely pleased with the end result.
